It has now been more than 3 years since we purchased Edgemont Yarns Service and moved it from Washington, KY to Kalamazoo, MI . We have moved their inventory to Michigan and have continued their line of carpet warp-Mayville rug warp- and have added new colors to that line.
We have added most of these items to the website.
Currently we specialize in: Rug Warps, Rug Wefts, Rag Crochet Supplies, Yarns, Books, Weaving Equipment, Loom Parts , Orco(formerly Union) and Kessinech looms, and various other crafting supplies. We keep adding new items to please our customers,like you!
Nestled just north of Kalamazoo, we take orders and ship orders all over the country.We try to send your weaving needs the day you order. . MERCERIZED COTTON -we have received requests for smaller cones - in answer to this we will wind 4 ounce tubes of current color mercerized - at your request - the tubes will be the same tubes that the warp is wound onto. the cost will be 3/2- 5.05 per 4 oz tube AND 5/2 - 5/25 per 4 oz tube.
SELVEDGES- make beautiful rugs using these shaggy ends from upholstery fabrics(rugs are machine washable) New price on selvedges is - buy 1-49 lbs for 1.90 a lb 50-199 lbs for 1.75 a lb 200 for- $1.60 a lb and 500 or more for $1.50 a lb
you will need about 5 lbs for an average size rug. Colors shown are only samples of availabe selvedges - state general color choice and amount - most bags are from 5-10 lbs a color-(EXACT COLOR AND SIZES WILL BE CHARGED 25 CENT EXTRA PER POUND)- pictures show rug made with selvedges and some sampel selvedges(we can not promise these exact ones)

Selvedge is also available by the bale. If you make a lot of rugs this is the way to go!- They can be shipped to you via truck co. or can be picked up in Kalamazoo. - Please call for available bale sizes and prices per pound - Most bales weigh 850 to 1100 lbs and can make 250 to 350 rugs. See pictures below of a bale(bale will come wrapped and banded) and sorted selvedge.
